FC Thun eliminates Dynamo Kiev!

With a sensantional 1-0 victory vs. Dynamo Kiev has Thun reached the final round of the Champions League Qualification.

There will Thun meet Malmö FF which eliminated Maccabi Haifa. Over 25`000 enthusiastic fans cheered this exceptional success in Bern`s brandnew Stade de Suisse (the former famous Wankdorf Stadion).

Thun layed the foundations of this triumph with a solid performance in the first leg in Kiev, where they played 2-2.

The small swiss mountain-club has now with Malmö a surely easier challenge in the last round... it would be one of the greatest sensations if Thun, which joined first swiss league for the first time only 2 years ago, would reach the Championsleague in the first attempt. That they are in good form they showed also with a 3-0 victory over champion FC Basel 10 days ago...

That Kiev, who played in 9 of the last 10 Championsleagues, will soon have a new coach is also to expect...
