Its Coco not Cocu

The Sun are claiming that Newcastle United are about to sign Italian defender Francesco Cocu on loan, there are two slight problems with this, Cocu is a midfielder, they of course mean left back Francesco Coco.

Secondly who can we loan him off exactly? He is without a club, since Inter allowed him to leave.

However there does seem this morning to be truth in the rumour, with several Italian sources giving the same story.

We need cover for Babayaro, that much is more than certain, and should Coco’s injury worries be behind him, he is a cultured left back, but a cultured left back that failed an Ajax medical, read into that what you will?
