Agent lays into Roma over Cassano situation

Francesco Totti’s former agent Franco Zavaglia has criticised Roma over their handling of Antonio Cassano's contract negotiations:

"Any of the bigger clubs would not have allowed this situation to develop," said Franco Zavaglia.

"This problem should have been addressed by the club's leaders a year ago.

"They shouldn't have waited. Not all the players have the same passion for Roma as Totti does.

"It all depends on what Cassano wants, his agent and Roma. He is a great player and will only play for a great club.

"If clubs like Juve, Milan, Inter, Chelsea and Barcelona come in for him, then there won't be a lot Roma can do."
