Roma back in business

Roma have finally won the right to register new players. They had been placed under a transfer embargo, with a FIFA imposed year long ban, back in July, after Auxerre demanded compensation for the loss of Mexes.

But today the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled in Roma’s favour allowing them to deal in the transfer market once again.

That appeal victory now means that new signings Samuel Kuffour, Rodrigo Taddei and Shabani Nonda can be registered ahead of the start of the season.

But it will also likely see the exit of several players Cassano being foremost amongst them.
