Hitzfeld favourite to replace Boerjak at Kiev

Dynamo Kiev have put a heavyweight manager on top of their list to replace, the recent fired, Leonid Boerjak. The club are in talks with nobody less than Ottmar Hitzfeld, the German manager who managed Bayern München and Borussia Dortmund before.

The Ukrainian giants were, last week, eliminated for Champions League qualification by Swiss side FC Thun. And a few days ago Dynamo draw 1-1 in the domestic league against small side Mariupol.

The elimination and the loss of points in the Ukrainian league were reason enough for the Dynamo directors to sack Boerjak.

Anatoly Demyanenko has been appointed as interim-coach for the time being.
