Arsenal star going no-where

Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires has ended months of speculation about a move away from Arsenal by insisting that he would remain until the end of the season.

There were contract problems with Pires demanding a two year extension and Arsenal only willing to offer a one year deal, but speaking to The Sun newspaper Pires insisted he was staying at Arsenal:

''I will be staying at Arsenal this season.”

''I am going to be clear about this.

''I am definitely staying with Arsenal.''
