Italian FA bans star referee Pierluigi Collina

The italian FA (FIGC) stays consistent in the "PR-scandal" around referee legend Pierluigi Collina.

He is not allowed to make publicity for an enterprise (Opel) which is also main sponsor of a Serie A club, in this case AC Milan. Therefore he stays banned for all Serie A games.

For the time being at least... The 45 year old got just the extraordinairy permission to continue his career although he has reached the mark of 45 years.

It would be astonishing if there would not be found a way to let this highly rated legend, who was perhaps the first referee to become a superstar, conclude his career in a worthy way... at least in Italy.
