No summer move for Kuyt

Speculation of Dirk Kuyt moving to Spurs is growing increasingly since Tottenham Hotspur sold Frederic Kanouté to Sevilla last week.

Spurs manager Martin Jol confirmed the fact that Kuyt was on top of his list to replace the Mali striker. Kuyt confirmed aswell last week that he was interested in a move to North-London.

"Feyenoord will decide what happens. Although Feyenoord isn't the club who can say no to any offer", stated Kuyt after the Rotterdam derby between Sparta and Feyenoord (1-3), in which he scored the opener.

"I don't think Tottenham can offer the fee what Feyenoord are asking at the moment."

"We are going for the highest possible with Feyenoord this year. And till the moment there are any changes of situation I will think of that at ease. I'm not in a rush to leave Feyenoord and I don't expect a transfer this summer". Told Kuyt the Dutch press.

Yesterday, Feyenoord director of football Mark Wotte already confirmed that Feyenoord will not be selling Kuyt in this transfer window.

Wotte responded on rumours about a £8.5m bid from Tottenham Hotspur for Dirk Kuyt.

"Feyenoord will not sell Kuyt so close near the end of the transfer window. If Tottenham Hotspur would have came in for Kuyt earlier this summer, in June for example, we would have been open for talks, but at the moment it is simply too late." Stated Wotte.
