Lyon and Cruzeiro have reached an agreement over the transfer of the next Brazilian star Fred. The French team will pay a fee of around 14 million euros for the 22-year-old striker, who is now traveling to France for the medical tests and to agree the last terms of his contract.

Last season he played 43 matches for Cruzeiro and scored 40 goals, and was the top goalscorer of the Brazilian league. His career in the first team started in 2004, and so far he has scored 90 goals in 128 matches, an impressive number for this young prospect that has been linked to many Spanish clubs during this summer.

Cruzeiro owns the 75% of the player’s rights, Dutch club Feyenoord owns 10% and the player himself the remaining 15%.
