It’s just a perfect day

As Lou Reed might very well have sung. But as a Newcastle United fan days like these are all too infrequent. First the obvious one, Owen, a world class striker, and a man very much in the Shearer mould.

And that’s what really matters.

Now to the return of the Peruvian, wor Nobby a lad that should never have been released in the first place, a man currently undergoing a medical, and should he return, I will just about be as chuffed as I am with Owen.

We should at last have width again, Luque on the left, Solano on the right, Owen and Shearer to bang in the goals, a midfield spine of Emre and Parker, tell me that hasn’t got you wishing they would dispense with these damn pesky internationals, so we can concentrate this weekend on the football that really matters??

And not only Owen and Solano, but we get to screw the scousers over twice, in the same number of days, whatever today is made of I just wished I could bottle it.

Oh and I just about forgot to mention, the departure of junior bling to Spurs, well so long, can’t say it hasn’t been fun. Now good riddance, you’ve been nothing short of a disgrace of late, enjoy life with the cocknies.
