Spurs have received a boost in the shape of captain Ledley King and summer signing Tom Huddlestone, the pair have returned to training, with King commenting to the clubs official website:

"In the last couple of days I have got back into training and done about 45 minutes each day."

"It has gone well, I expected to feel something, but there is nothing I can't manage at the moment.

"The break buys me a bit of time and hopefully it will mean I don't miss another game.

"Now is the time to get it right and make sure I come back strong - that is what I am going to do."

Meanwhile yet to kick a ball in anger for Spurs is summer signing Huddlestone, who arrived from Derby County, but suffered a knee injury just before the season commenced, who stated:

"I tweaked my medial ligament in the knee and was out for three weeks exactly," said the 18-year-old. "I am back in full training now and the knee feels fine.

"Three weeks out wasn't too bad, I think the injury goes from one to three and mine was a mild grade two.

"I knew it wouldn't be too long, but I just don't like being injured."
