Terrible title aside Spurs boss Martin Jol has stated that he is now hopeful that Egyptian striker Mido’s injury is not as bad as first feared.

Mido scored in the derby win over Charlton at the weekend, but left the field early after falling to the ground in pain after pulling his hamstring, but he is hopeful that his striker will be back as early as the visit of Everton a week on Saturday.

Jol told the Spurs official website:

"Mido started getting cramps but he carried on and then pulled his hamstring a bit, but hopefully it won't be too serious."
