Real Doctor Praises Woody

Jonathon Woodgate has been praised by Real Madrid doctor, Alfonso del Corral after scoring midweek.

After scoring, Woodgate tore away to the Real bench and hugged the club doctor, as a ythankyou for getting him fit again.

 

Del Corral extended Woodgate’s praise for the doctor to the whole medical team at Real, which helped Woodgate in his 17-month-long injuries.

 

Del Corral has also returned the favour, praising Woodgate.

 

Del Corral said:

 

"I received the hug because I happened to be in the dugout during the game,"

 

"But I know it was for all the doctors, physios and coaches that have been working with him since the day he came here up until that great moment, the moment that he became a complete player again.

 

”Real Madrid have a great player back in action, but also an exceptional person who has such great human qualities.

 

"Woody is a tremendous player and an even better person.

 

"When I saw that we had scored I jumped off the bench, but when I saw that it was him I jumped even higher.

 

"It was an unbelievable moment of happiness because nobody knows how this guy has suffered in order to play again. He deserves all the good things that are happening to him now.

 

"Everyone is delighted to see him playing again. It is a victory for everyone involved, but especially for him."
