Arsenal Vs Sunderland

Dennis Bergkamp has told Arsenal that its time they turned their European performances into league results and stated that nothing less than three points will do when they face bottom club Sunderland tomorrow.

Arsenal were the first English side through to the knockout stages of the Champions League, with a special 3-0 performance against Sparta Prague at Highbury on Wednesday night.

But their form in the league has not been as good and they trail leaders Chelsea by 14 points already, although they do have a game in hand.

Sunderland by contrast are already looking doomed, they have provided some good displays this season, with the derby with Newcastle being a good example, but have seen little reward for their efforts.

Mcarthy is a good manager who has been woefully backed by his board in the transfer market and has struggled with the gulf in class from the Championship, to the Premiership.

They were perhaps deserving of a point in the game with bitter rivals Newcastle, but that will be scant consolation for the Sunderland fans.
