Milan watch Manchester United and Arsenal aces

AC Milan are said to be keeping close tabs on the situation involving Thierry Henry at Arsenal and Ruud van Nistelrooy at Man Utd,

despite having the likes of Andrei Shevchenko, Filippo Inzaghi, Christian Vieri and Alberto Gilardino all at their disposal, Milan are still looking to strengthen their attacking options.

Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi and Coach Carlo Ancelotti are both looking for new blood to bring to the San Siro, with Berlusconi preferring Nistelrooy.

Although van Nistelrooy has insisted of late that he is happy at Man Utd and has no desire to move elsewhere, but there are still reported contract problems and Milan would like to nip in should the situation arise.

Carlo Ancelotti however is keener on Thierry Henry having worked with the Frenchman previously during his time with Juventus and given Henry’s refusal to discuss a new deal until the summer, they have some hopes that he could be persuaded back to Italy. Arsenal however remains confident that he will eventually sign a new deal, and state simply that he is happy at the club.
