Fulham striker Collins John is hoping for a role in the Dutch World Cup squad, and despite strong competition from other players, he is hoping to add to his two caps under Marco van Basten.
However there are a whole host of players he has to compete with the likes of Man Utd’s Ruud van Nistelrooy and Arsenal’s Robin van Persie as well as Roy Makaay, Dirk Kuyt and Ryan Babel.
But he is confident that he can at least play some sort of role for his adopted country:
"I have already got two caps," said John.
"It would be a dream to play in the World Cup for the country that has helped me and my family."
