Arsenal victory

It has been a good season for Arsenal a Champions league final to look forward to, and managing to secure 4th place on the last day of the season against their bitter rivals, Spurs must have given even the most embittered Arsenal fan a reason to smile.
A 4-2 victory over Wigan and with getting beat spurs 2-1 by west ham, saw them secure 4th place with more than a splash of luck.
They will however be eager to win the premiership next year. And there are signs that they could do just that, a young defence has gelled very well towards the back end of the season and has arguably been behind their late surge for 4th.
Hanging onto Henry will of course be paramount to Arsenal’s short term future, but it does look like he should be joined by another potent goal scoring threat.
The move to a new 60,000 seat stadium should realise new income for the gunners and in Wenger they have a manager who has always had an eye for talent.
Chelsea of course will remain the team to beat and there is little arguing that Liverpool have made massive strides towards a real promotion push.
But Arsenal already looks a solid and comparatively young side, and could just have what it takes to make a real push for the title next season.
As for the champions league final, it is obvious that Barcelona are the overwhelming favourites, but as Liverpool showed last year, favourites do not always win finals.
