Davids ready to leave Spurs for homecoming

According to press reports this morning Edgar Davids, is looking to leave White Hart lane and return to Dutch side Ajax. It has to be said it has hardly been a vintage season for the 33 year old as he has struggled to hold down a regular place at Spurs.

Failing to make the Dutch squad for the world cup, combined with Spurs failing to reach the Champions League on the last day of the season are rumoured to be the final straws for Davids.

He does however have a year remaining on his contract, so there could conceivably be some sort of compensation for Spurs.

It does seem though that Davids English adventure is to end and it could hardly be termed a quantified success.
