Barcelona star agrees Ajax transfer

Ajax have agreed terms with FC Barcelona midfielder Gabri, the 27-year old will sign a three year deal this week. The transfer will be finalised on monday or thursday.

Rumours about Gabri moving to the Dutch capital were getting stronger after Gabri held talks with Ajax last week and now things are almost finalised.

Gabri's current contract runs out this summer and after two years of being a benchwarmer he opted to move on. Deportivo La Coruna and Espanyol were both interested aswell but Gabri looks now set to move to Dutch giants Ajax.

Gabri came through the ranks of the Barcelona youth academy and played seven years for the Spanish champions. He was a regular under Lorenzo Serra Ferrer.
