The Chairman's Comments

Only got around to reading CL’s comments in the programme yesterday afternoon. Was not surprised to hear him urge supporters to respect the referee and TJs. Was interested to hear that even the players and coaching staff complained about supporter behaviour after the Darlington game.

Other subject he broached was lack of (match day, I assume) volunteers. As he said “The club doesn’t run by itself and our financial resources are very stretched”. I have to say I was not at all keen on volunteering myself, and did so with some reluctance, but now I have I am very pleased indeed and urge others –who have not already- to give serious consideration to doing the same so we can –in CL’s words- “continue our journey to becoming “the proper rugby club” that so many of us aspire to”.
