£5m for Rovers, Addicks and Villa transfer target

Millwall midfielder Tim Cahill may be on the move after the FA Cup final if sketchy media reports are to be believed. After an outstanding season, if the Australian international does move on the Lions may be unlikely to accept less than £5m, even in these days of dwindling transfer fees.

Millwall's negotiating position has been strengthened by the FA Cup run, which in effect means no players need to be sold.

Blackburn would seem the most likely destination for Cahill should he not remain at the Den beyond the summer.

Rovers boss Graeme Souness may be keen to add to his ex-Millwall contingent, and Lucas Neill in particular may have had a word in his ear about the skill level of his compatriot and former club team-mate.

But if Souness expects a Steven Reid style bargain, perhaps he should shop elsewhere, as should Charlton's Alan Curbishley and Villa's David O'Leary if they want to nab Cahill at a knockdown price.
