SWFC fans condemn Liverpool supporters

A Sheffield Wednesday fan has written in to back Millwall in this war of words with Liverpool. Perhaps it's no longer true to say no one like us anymore! But no one likes us in the Liverpool-loving media that's for sure!

There’s a columnist in the Daily Mirror – Brian Reade – who did a major piece on the Hillsborough disaster a while ago, which was so far up the scousers’ arse (he’s one himself I think) that it was incredible. But most damning, it was factually incorrect. He spouted some right bollocks about local businesses being ashamed of SWFC and the police. It was complete claptrap.

There’s books as well that have the story completely on its head. And as for that TV documentary/play. I have never seen such a one-eyed view of anything (written by Jimmy Mcgovern I think, another fully paid up cheeky chappie scouser). If you ever want to know what really happened that day, I would suggest a day trip to Sheffield!

Liverpool want everything their own way. The way that people (and the media) jump to conclusions is absolutely incredible. Plenty of stuff on the internet saying things like ‘what should we expect from Millwall, etc etc’. I’ve now seen 2 accounts of what really happened (ie from people who were there) and it’s a world away from the media stories. But that wouldn’t suit certain folk’s agendas would it?

There is still a huge amount of bitterness towards Liverpool fans in these parts re the disaster. They take f*ck all blame when they played a massive role in the whole thing.I thought they wouldn’t be innocent again when I read these stories.

Liverpool fans are great in terms of numbers and support, but it’s their self-rightous element that lets them down. They accept blame for nothing but are great at pointing the finger themselves. They drank the pubs dry (literally) prior to the disaster, they had hundreds of ticketless fans, they were pissing in people’s gardens, climbing over walls and turnstiles to get in, etc etc. And then the disaster was all the fault of SWFC and the police! That’s why there’s so much resentment towards them in Sheffield.

And how come everyone is expected to have eternal sympathy for ‘em cos of the Hillsborough disaster...whilst they themselves conveniently forget about Heysel?
