West Ham are facing an FA investigation following some coin throwing incidents at the Den. After some unsavoury events at Stamford Bridge earlier this season West Ham may be hauled across the coals. Then again, as they have friends in high places, they may get away scott free.

Coins and a mobile phone were hurled from the away end of The Den mainly at player-manager Dennis Wise, but goalkeeper Graham Stack also came under fire.

As a result, the police made one arrest and referee Peter Walton indicated he would mention the problems in his report.

Millwall assistant manager Ray Wilkins said: "It is dangerous and it is not what we want to see in football grounds."
