A Serioux threat

Adrian Serioux is Millwall's not-so-secret weapon, according to Burnley boss Steve Cotterill. The long throw specialist certainly caused the Clarets problems, although the game ended in defeat for the Lions.
Steve Cotteril has admitted Adrian Serioux’s throws meant his side, “Daren’t even kick the ball off the touchline.”
The Burnley manager lifted the lid on just how much the Millwall midfielder’s throw ins concern opponents after the Lions’ one-goal defeat on Saturday.
Millwall boss Dennis Wise brought Serioux on with eighteen minutes remaining in a last ditch bid to get a point, and Cotteril said: “When they can bring on Dichio and Serioux and drop the ball in it’s such a threat that you daren’t even kick the ball off the touchline.
“You just can’t keep it out. I would ask how can you defend it, but we did defend it. We worked on it yesterday because I thought he would return after being suspended.”
