Nothing lasts forever

Nothing lasts forever...anyone following football should know that, but our fans are so loyal they can't help but mourn the departure of Neil Harris. Not exactly blessed with pace, he certainly was quick on the turn in the Division Two and always had an eye for goal.

But since stepping up a level and suffering a health scare, we've not seen the best of Harris to be brutally honest.

In flashes, yes. Consistently, no.

So after a while the management had to make a decision. Not a universally popular one, it has to be said.

But Wisey gets paid to make decisions like that, and he's no bottler!

Neither was McGhee. He made some tough decisions, which were probably correct but unpopular: dropping Ryan (now struggling in the basement), and treating Nethercott similarly (who's also struggling at the same level).

We all know what happened to McGhee. The fans wanted him out, and stuck with their favourites.

Our fans are loyal, which is a great asset to the club. But sometimes, it's time to move on.

With Harris, perhaps that time was now. The fans should accept it and get behind Wisey, who's still the right man for the job.
