MFC needs your help!

With the FA ready to hurl the book at Millwall, the club needs your help! We know we're an easy target for the FA, as we're not one of the Premiership elite and we're much-maligned in the media. But we can't afford to let the FA sling mud and much more at us on this occasion.

Millwall is relying on evidence from fans to convince the Football Association that they are not guilty of racist abuse.

The disciplinary hearings into whether the club is guilty of failing to prevent its’ supporters from dishing out racial insults in the Carling Cup tie at home to Liverpool on October 26 are scheduled to take place at the end of March.

And late evidence from Liverpool fans has taken the club by surprise, making it imperative that Lions supporters write into the club with their views on the events of the evening.

New FA chief executive Brian Barwick, himself a Liverpool fan, is likely to hit Millwall with a six-figure fine should they become the first club to be found guilty of being unable to prevent racial abuse, and the consequences would be disastrous given the present financial situation at the Den.

Supporters who did want to defend Millwall are reminded that the charges do NOT relate to any alleged chants directed at Liverpool fans about the Hillsborough disaster of 1989, where 96 of their supporters died, but purely of racism.

In addition, both clubs are charged with failing to prevent spectators throwing dangerous objects onto the pitch during the game.

The disciplinary hearings are to take place on March 29 and 30, and April 1 at the FA headquarters in Soho Square or a location nearby.
