Ward for Hammers?

Darren Ward will follow Paul Ifill out of the Den, if reports are to be believed. The centre back has won the player of the year award for two consecutive seasons, but is expected to be sold to raise funds.

Millwall fans didn't initially take to Ward, but over a long period of time he won them over.

At the beginning, Ward was deemed too light weight, but after he showed greater courage he became a popular member of the team.

If Millwall continue to sell talented players ridiculously cheaply, West Ham will get themselves a bargain if they come in with a concrete offer.

The Hammers are reportedly keen to pair Darren Ward with his brother Elliott at the heart of their defence.

There is also interest from Sheffield United (who know a bargain when they see one)and two other unnamed clubs.
