One potential managerial candidate has already got another job, according to reports. Former Watford boss Ray Lewington may accept a coaching job at Fulham, leaving Martin "Mad Dog" Allen and Gary Johnson to fight it out.

I'll be surprised if Allen shows any more tactical nous than Wise - who was slated for some of team selections - if he gets the job.

Still, Wise - who's joining QPR as a player - is in good company when it comes to putting square pegs in round holes.

Sven & Mourinho spring to mind.

Even Wenger tried 4-5-1 against Man U, and was luckier than we were at the Millenium Stadium!
