Lions raid Cardiff City

Reports suggest Cardiff keeper Tony Warner is set to return to the Den. The former crowd favourite played his best football at Millwall, but with the purse strings so tight it remains to be seen whether the Lions have the financial muscle to cement a deal.

"Denzil" will be welcomed back with open arms at Millwall, but his wage demands could be a stumbling block.

A source at Cardiff said in the South Wales Echo: "It has simply not worked out for Tony at Ninian Park and it is obvious that he now needs to move on and start afresh.

"All professional players want first-team football and Tony is no different."

They also want decent wages though, which may mean that Millwall will be out of the running.
