Steve Pinfield & his Cornish Pirates shirt were spotted up a 'Mountain in Argentina'. Soon it'll be the North Side of Everest with Steve wearing a Pirates shirt to the 'top of the world'.

Pirate Shirts Around The World

Steve Pinfield, occasional Match Day Steward & climbing expedition guide was recently spotted in Mendoza, Argentina wearing a Cornish Pirates polo shirt.

Federico a Mulateer - who looks after mules on the mountains - took a fancy to the shirt & persuaded him to swap it for his Argentina shirt. Whether or not 'Federico' follows the fortunes of Alberto Di Bernardo, we don't know, but his knowledge of the Cornish Pirates shows how far & wide the Pirates fame has spread.

Having recently returned to Penzance from South America, Steve is shortly off on his travels again, this time to climb 'Cho Oyu' in the Himalayas, which at 8210 metres is the sixth highest mountain in the world.

After that it'll be the North Side of Everest with Steve wearing a Pirates shirt to the 'top of the world'.

A couple of years ago, on the 12th February 2005, Steve was pictured 5200 metres up a mountain in Chile, waiting for the World Service rugby results. A memorable day for the Pirates when they beat Bristol - at Bristol - 18 / 11
