Match Preview - Cornish Pirates v Leicester Tigers

The Tigers, despite having a number of players unavailable because of Rugby World Cup commitments, will still be bringing a very strong squad to Cornwall on Saturday for a pre-season friendly and it promises to be a stern test for Jim McKay`s new-look Pirates squad.

The Tigers have already named their travelling squad for the fixture as:-

Tom Croft, Mefin Davies (Wales), Brett Deacon , Louis Deacon (England), Ayoola Erinle (England)

Gavin Hickie (Ireland A), Ian Humphreys (Ireland 7s), Benjamin Kayser (France A)
Alejandro Moreno (Argentina & Italy), Frank Murphy, Johne Murphy, Ben Pienaar, Matt Smith
Ollie Smith (England, British Lions), Boris Stankovich, Tom Varndell (England), Sam Vesty (England)
Marco Wentzel (South Africa), Julian White (England, British Lions), David Young , Ben Youngs, Tom Youngs.

The match Referee will be Tony Spreadbury of the RFU.

Anyone wishing to attend the game is reminded that the match now kicks-off at 4pm at the request of the Tigers.

Admission prices are £10 Stand, £5 Terrace with free admission for kids. This season tickets must be purchased in advance for ALL Pirates home games as there will be no cash payment on the gate on match days. See www.cornish-pirates.com for further details.

The Cornish Pirates Press Gang Supporters Club will be establishing a Field HQ in the beer tent to take bookings for the forthcoming coach travel to Launceston on September 1st (£10 per seat), and enrol new members (£5 Individual, £10 Family).

The Press Gang will also be running a supporters bus from Penzance to Camborne for the home fixture against Northampton on September 9th - Price £3 - and Members will also be able to book this on Saturday.
