If Its On - Its On !! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . And Its On Again
If you were one of the thousands that packed into Camborne Rec for the Cup Final victory over Munster in May 2010, or watched the game on SKY TV, then you’ll be only too aware of the excitement and drama of the cup.

And this year the Pirates are on track for the finals once again, having won all four games so far, topping Pool 3 with 18 points and a 7 point advantage over 2nd placed Carmarthen.
Of the other 3 top sides, Bristol in Pool 1 and Newcastle in Pool 4 also have 18 points whilst Bedford have 20.
With the top four having home advantage in the quarter-finals, it is likely that from now on, all the top sides will be taking the competition very seriously indeed, especially as there is the added bonus of prize money on offer.

Of the chasing pack, Ulster will be looking to challenge Bristol for top spot in Pool 1, where there is only a 1 point gap, whilst Leinster, Munster, Pontypridd and Llandovery all on 15 points will be looking to close the gap on the leaders of the top 4 pools.
If things stay as they are, the Pirates would be going into the hat for a home quarter-final against one out of: Leinster, Munster, Llandovery or Moseley.
On a pure entertainment level, the chance to meet, banter and laugh with new faces and friends, particularly amongst our Celtic cousins, is a most welcome diversion from the tensions of reaching top four in stage 1 of the Championship.
And of those that travel, who can forget the pleasures of the trips and hospitality at Clonmel and Cross Keys, or more recently, the wonderful welcome and effort made by Dundee at Mayfield back in October, particularly the Pirates themed evening in the clubhouse after the match.

So let’s all get down to the Mennaye on Sunday for a cracking game of rugby and repay the welcome to our friends from Dundee, whilst at the same time spurring on the boys to secure that home quarter-final place.
