Cornish Pirates v Nottingham

Site Update time again, and at long last a game of Rugby to look forward to.

It seems an age since the last game on Saturday 11th December and the 13-26 victory away to Ampthill. On the bright Side we are still in contention for a top-of-the-table finish, so lots to look forward to.

So on to Saturday at the Mennaye and the re-arranged Championship Round 16.

Kick Off 14:30

This ought to be a 5 pointer to follow the 8-32 win away at Lady Bay in October, the weather looks dry with a light North Easterly wind.

As a bonus, anyone age 12+ needing a Covid Booster, or even their 1st or 2nd Covid jab can ‘Grab A Jab’ at the Pop Up NHS vaccination clinic in the car park from 1 – 5pm. No appointments needed, simply turn up between those times!

Looking very much like a winning team with Josh Caulfield and Tom Duncan on the bench.
Need to ensure we come away with the win first and bonus as an add on. Please keep the penalty count down lads.

2 or 3 interesting selections, no doubt these have been made to give some players an opportunity ahead of a very busy period, where we could be playing 10 games on the trot.

52 - 17 Pirates win. A little scrappy and hopefully we can keep this going forward. Appeared to have been quite a number of people attending the match also. Well done Pirates and looking forward to Coventry next week.

We looked a little out of sorts in the first half which was to be expected after 6 weeks without a game.
In the 2nd half there was only one team in it and we scored a couple of lovely tries to run out worthy winners.
Hopefully the 1848 who attended today's game enjoyed a good afternoon at the Mennaye and will come back to see us play London Scottish in 3 weeks.
In the meantime we face a couple of difficult away matches at Coventry and Richmond.
