Back to old times on Saturday when Plymouth Albion come to town for a friendly.
If my records are correct, the last time we played Albion in a league match was in March 2015, sadly Albion were relegated soon after.
The only survivor in this match from the Pirates team that day is Marlen Walker who replaced Alan Paver at No.3

Good run out for the squad. Plenty of positives - scrum, line out and defence were solid and a couple of magic moments from Kyle and Arthur Relton.
Plenty to work on too - it'll be interesting to see how it goes up at Brickfields next week.
Spotted a few Pirates legends today - Sam Betty, Rob Elloway and Wes Davies - nice to see them; once a Pirate!

A lot of worrying knocks picked up by both sides, hopefully most of them were subbed as a precaution, looks like a shoulder injury for Josh Williams who is not having a good run of luck at the moment. A near 55 minute 1st half due to injuries then stoppages for the refs radio made it a long afternoon. Entertaining game and a little feisty at times. Good seeing Kyle Moyle stretching his legs and breaking tackles. Great weather too and a fair sized crowd. Anyone know the crowd number?
