There are several changes in the Pirates side from last time out, including the Irish lock Fintan Coleman who signed for the club this week on a short-term deal, he will partner Josh King in the second row.

There are two other new faces in the squad, lock Alfie Bell who is dual registered with Exeter Chiefs, and backrower Chris Mills on loan from Redruth.

Flanker Alex Everett makes a welcome return from injury and will start in the ‘6’ shirt and fit again centre Joe Elderkin takes a place on the bench.

Matt McNab is still unavailable with a lower leg injury, so Robin Wedlake gets a starting role on the wing. Among other changes James French is named at tight-head prop and Tomiwa Agbongbon at openside wing forward.

This will be a tough match against a well coached Hartpury side who beat us in the championship cup match back in November.
Unfortunately both Lewis Pearson and Martin Maloney have been recalled by Exeter so we have had to recruit a couple of replacements at short notice.
Great to see Alex Everett back after injury and a warm welcome to our new players.
I'm sure the boys will be keen to get back out on the pitch after the new year break with confidence high after a number of great results in recent weeks.

The home side are in complete control and have already secured their 4 try bonus point.

Totally dominated up front by the hartpury pack who laid the foundations for a convincing win.
A big week in training to regroup before we travel to play league leaders Ealing.

Beaten up at scrum time leading to penalties and catch and drive tries. Probably a step too far with so many enforced changes.

It was always going to be as big ask with so many forced changes and recovered from injury players back in the squad. Getting everyone back up to speed and gelling again was I feel to much in such a short time. Too many penalties again from what I could glean as well. Never mind lads if this is a s bad as it gets we will still be in the top four at close of play. Safe trip home, lick the wounds and regroup.

Tough game as mentioned CB, I thought should I check the coach to see if we had left some in the vehicle. Hartpury were good and kept the Pirates pinned down in their own half most of the game. Hopefully there will a chance for the team to get to winning ways soon and progress again up the chart.
