Backrower Alex Everett - back to fitness - will captain the Pirates team, whilst the bench includes several trialists.

A very useful run out against a well drilled, committed Navy side who played their part in an entertaining game.
Although the Navy had the better of the first half they only had 7 points to show for their efforts against a resolute pirates defence who led at the break 21-7.
The pirates playing with more tempo and cohesion gradually pulled away in the 2nd half and finished worthy winners.
The navy will be happy with their efforts ahead of their inter services matches against the army and air force.
The pirates will have been glad to get some competitive game time before next week's return to league action against London Scottish where they will need to put in an eighty minute performance.

Agree Wigston. The format of the season is hopeless. Weeks on end without rugby for all the teams not involved in the latter stages of the cup, then five games in May. Crazy.
