A disappointing start as the pirates lost their opening fixture of the season.
A number of unforced errors, a lack of accuracy and a failure to take our chances led to this defeat.
It was not helped by a very frustrating afternoon from the officials especially when from a 5M scrum we were going forward, Hartpury were penalised and Alex Everett scored only for the referee to call us back to award us the penalty.
We were given no advantage and inevitably we were penalised at the next scrum.
