This will be a tough game against an aggressive Ampthill pack which no doubt will be well coached by ex-pirate Dave Ward.
Forecast looking like it will be wet and windy so it will require a big pirates performance starting up front if we are to get a much needed win.

On a heavy pitch despite a few early wobbles with our line out the pirates set piece domination laid the foundations for this well deserved win.
The pirates backs looked dangerous with ball in hand although a spirited Ampthill fought back in the 2nd half to claim a 4 try bonus point.
A couple of worrying injuries to Alfie Petch and Charlie Rice ahead of next weeks important away game against Doncaster.

The first half was probably our best 40 minutes so far, scrum was awesome and the backs looked pacy and slick.
Second half, played up the slope, was more of a slog and Ampthill kept going to deservedly secure the 4 try BP.

After the break it was good to restart with a strong opposition. The main let down again was the penalty count and 2 x yellow cards. We continue I am sure we have the highest account in the Champ for these and next week will be a good turning point for the rest of the season.
