Andy Gray and Micah Hyde were the goalscorers in an action packed game. The Clarets more than matched the ability of Bolton.

Burnley's strikeforce took only 11 minutes to put the Claret fans who made it to a hot Turf Moor in good spirits. A parried Mahon shot enabled Gray to put Burnley ahead. Mahon almost put us ahead not long after with his shot just going wide.

Bolton's only goal from Vaz Te came minutes after Jensen saved a Diouf shot on 20 minutes.

Burnley held on though and despite a strong start in the second half from Bolton, Burnley took the lead once again on 65 minutes from a corner with Micah Hyde getting the credit. Not soon after Gray almost made it 3-1, his header hitting the crossbar.

Burnley kept the pressure on with Garreth O'Connor and Chris McCann coming close in the last part of the second half.

A good game from the Clarets which should give them confidence in the run-up to the new season.
