As Part Of The Besart Berisha Sponsorship
Besart Berisha

As part of the official sponsorship package for Besart Berisha, The Longside have been allocated space for an advertisement in a match day programme. The advertisement has been submitted and appears in the programme for the home game against Bristol City on 29/12/07. A copy of our advertisement appears below.
Also, as another aspect of the package, there are a number of matchday tickets available for us to donate to a local school of our choice, we are pleased to be able to inform our sponsors that The Longside have been allocated 100 childrens tickets and 25 adult tickets, Christ The King Primary School in Burnley have been nominated as the recipients for the tickets which will be valid for our sponsors day game against Barnsley on the 29th March 2008, the tickets will be handed over to the school at a morning assembly by Besart Berisha, we are also very hopeful that The Longside does have some representation on a date to be announced. We have kindly requested the Club to hand over the tickets in memory of Jimmy Reeves who sadly passed away in September of 2007. Jimmy was known with great affection to many posters of The Longside, we feel it is a fitting tribute to Jimmy a lifelong Claret that his former school should be chosen to receive the tickets in his memory. The final part of our sponsorship package will be the handover of two of Besarts shirts which will be presented to us at some stage during our sponsors day match, there will be opportunities for photographs to be taken of Besart handing over the shirts to us. All in all I believe that even though we have been unfortunate not to have seen Besart play in a Championship match as yet, the sponsorship package that has been provided by the Club is in fact great value for money. |
Especially as he was a lifelong claret too!
Also I do know there are many posters on this message board who did in fact attend christ the King at one time or another which makes the tribute even more personal.
Sincere thanks again on behalf of the Reeves family.
