Burnley go into the New Years Day match away at Blackpool looking for a first win since the televised match with Wolverhampton Wanderers. Again the Clarets are without key players. Michael Duff and Besart Berisha being the long term casualties.
Also missing will be Clarke Carlisle (Hamstring), Joey Gudjonsson (Suspended), Andy Gray (Ankle injury), John Spicer (Suspended) and possibly Alan Mahon who has missed out on the last 4 matches. Chris McCann and Graham Alexander should return following suspension. The expected line up will be Kiraly, Alexander, Caldwell, Unsworth, Harley, Elliott, McCann, O'Connor, Lafferty, Blake and Akinbiyi with subs from Jensen, Jones, G O'Connor, Jordan, Rodriguez and Kay. Blackpool go into the match with some confidence following a decent December where they recorded 4 wins and 2 draws from their 8 matches and currently sit in 17th position.
