TheLongside.co.uk review team bring you their thoughts on the latest Burnley FC Book, A Pictorial Guide to the Programmes and Ephemera of Burnley Football Club. The book by Mark and Lester Davidson contains 260 gloss full colour pages containing hundreds of programmes and items of memorabilia. It retails at £14.95.
Lester (left) and Mark Davidson (right), the pair of Clarets fans with Claret and Blue Eyes, who have put together a must read book for all Clarets fans.
It's not a facts and figures book or a history in words; it is a history in artefacts that most Clarets fans would never have known existed.
How Lester and Mark found some of the artefacts in this book is a mystery, some are so special money just isn't enough. It's a Collector's bible. This book is the first of its type about Burnley FC. All the rest cover the glorious past of Burnley Football Club but none cover it from this angle. The bash is being held this Saturday at The Grove, Padiham, tickets are £5 on the door and all are welcome. In order to aid catering, if you wish to attend, leave a message on the forum or e-mail us at info@thelongside.co.uk. You can purchase a copy of the book for £14.95 plus £3.25 postage, just contact the authors at this e-mail address (don't forget to replace the dot and at with the actual . and @ characters) lesterdotmark at virgin.net . |

It has taken the authors two years to compile, with a lifetime of history to go at. This book starts at the beginning with the earliest programmes Burnley has produced and lists a history there after.
