A Sting In The Tail For Harley

After deciding not to renew his contract at the end of last season, Jon Harley has today signed a two year contract at Watford. Jon had recently been on trial with the Hornets in Austria, whilst over there he impressed Adie Boothroyd enough to give him a contract.

Today's announcement on Watford's official site came as a bit of a  surprise to most, as Jon had been linked very strongly with Leeds United.

So far during his career which started at Chelsea where he went on to win an F.A.Cup winners medal, he also played for Fulham, Sheffield United, Burnley and loan spells at Wimbledon and West Ham.

Whilst with the Clarets he made the left back position his own, and at times put in some sterling performances, we look forward to seeing him back at Turf Moor playing for Watford it should be interesting.

Harley against Wade?

"A truth’s initial commotion is directly proportional to how deeply the lie was believed. It wasn’t the world being round that agitated people, but that the world wasn’t flat. When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic."

"The ideal tyranny is that which is ignorantly self-administered by its victims. The most perfect slaves are, therefore, those which blissfully and unawaredly enslave themselves."

I'd have liked him to stay at BFC, but we all have to move on I suppose.

Good luck to him. (not against us though eye rolling smiley)
