Brian Laws celebrated his 700th League game as a manager and the Burnley boss won't have had many more enjoyable ones as he saw his side firmly lay out their Championship promotion credentials.

After a quietly impressive start to the season bar a late blitz of Preston, the Clarets burst into life with a demolition of the side that came down with them last term.

Chris Iwelumo and Chris Eagles both scored twice, once in each half, as the Clarets scored their biggest win since the final day of their promotion season 2009.
