Burnley 3 Charlton 0

The Danny Ings/Sam Vokes partnership was on song again with three more goals as the Clarets extended their unbeaten run to six wins in seven games.
The deadly duo took their combined total to 16 for the season as Sean Dyche’s men saw off Charlton in a comfortable Turf Moor victory. Ings made it seven in as many games when he opened the scoring in the 37th minute following excellent approach play from Vokes and yet another assist for Kieran Trippier. Man of the match Vokes then doubled the lead midway through the second half, finishing off a magnificent team goal with a sensational finish. And the Welshman capped a sensational performance with his second and Burnley’s third in the closing minutes, thumping home a volley from sub Junior Stanislas’s corner. Just got in from buying an ethernet cable as my wireless card has packed up.
Time to update the Spectrum.
Good to see Jones in the starting line-up.
Come on you Clarets!

So far as I can see if we win on Tuesday we'll go top. I predict a terrible performance and a heavy loss ...

I am well gutted, the missus (who never wins any competition) won tickets for today, but I had to work so ended up giving them to my dad.

Maybe Vokes showing that what he needed all along was a manager who believed in him and was willing to give him a run in the side.
Any doubts I had about Dyche's style or indeed the quality of this team are gone. Oh don't get me wrong, its a long season and injuries and suspensions will bite over the winter months but by heck this manager and team know how to win games - nearly half way to the safety target already!
"A truth’s initial commotion is directly proportional to how deeply the lie was believed. It wasn’t the world being round that agitated people, but that the world wasn’t flat. When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic."

Very pleasing outcome today, enjoyable on the Turf in the sunshine too.
I thought we could have had about two or three more goas. Charlton offered very little threat. great three points.
