Burnley 1 Sheffield Wednesday 1

Roses games between Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday are rarely predictable affairs.Just once in 15 meeting had the home side won; a sequence that was extended after Sam Vokes 12th goal of the season was cancelled out by Chris Maguire.

Vokes struck three minutes before the break after the Clarets dominated the opening 45 minutes.

But Maguire earned a precious point for the Owls on the stroke of half time with a close-range effort.

Sean Dyche named an unchanged side to the team that beat Yeovil Town 2-1 at Huish Park.

And the Clarets started well, with Keith Treacy heavily involved against the club he joined on loan last season.

And in the 11th minute the winger was a whisker away from opening the scoring as Burnley carved out the first opportunity.

Vokes’ header fell behind the last man and when Ings attempted chip over Chris Kirkland caught a glance off the keeper, Treacy was on hand, only for Glenn Loovens to knee his goalbound effort towards an open net for a corner.

At the other end it took a perfectly timed tackle eight yards from goal from David Jones to deny Kieran Lee a certain goal.

Absolutly robbed today. Dominated that game.

Suppose we just wernt clinical enough but a good performance.

Surprised Barnes was left so late to bring on. Where did he play when he came on?

Still, Dyche says it's one of our best performances of the season and was just 'one of them days'.

Had a feeling today was gonna be tricky.

Comes to something now when we're absolutely gutted with a home draw.

We're not losing these games though, another point picked up and we're disappointed, good times still. We've no right to be even challenging Leicester and QPR, but we're still there.

Played down the left. Looked decent to me. Great cross in last minute.

What's this about Wednesday fans attacking the Miners?

Nothing to worry about, absolutely murdered one of the form teams in the league, but couldn't put the ball into the net, it happens.

Heard Wednesday fans on radio who reckoned they'd been robbed of 2 stonewall penalties .... It's about time we had some poor decisions go in our favour

There was one up the other end from me which ended up with the Wednesday player booked for diving, no idea if that was the case or not. Not a clue what the second one was, unless it was one of those numpty handball shouts. They shouldn't moan, they were lucky they didn't go home beaten 5-1.

One in first half which looked a very good tackle.

It was a memorable game featuring two of the most in form potent attacking teams. It should have been a high scoring home win, something like 5-3. Both teams were profligate in front of goal. The quality of football served up would have been reflected better with this sort of score line.

Thought they should have a definite pen in second half.
I was gobsmacked when he booked their player for diving.
