Thread started early because I thought this preview on the BBC website was quite interesting:

Pretty sure Derby will win tomorrow so the pressure's on.

A draw would be acceptable but not welcome..We cant let them get away with a win though..

First game I ever saw Burnley 4 Forest 2. Willie Irvine hat trick. I would be delighted with the same result.

My Mum was from Nottingham. Their house was bombed in the war and they moved to Skipton. My Grand parents were Forest Mad.

Davies is a turd, he belittles all and sundry every chance he gets, petulant little git in my opinion.
I think Dyche can outsmart this moaning @#$%& and pick up 3 points. Forest will try every trick in the book to grind us down, hopefully we will rise above it and hammer them.

Been a while since Forest have won at the Turf ain't it? Hope the record ain't broken this year

I'd take a draw against Derby and Forest over winning one and losing one. Really wanna see us do the full twelve months unbeaten at Turf Moor, get through these two games and we've done it.....then it's on to finally beat Blackburn

Anything after that is a bonus really.

They've not given Wigan much hope over here Alfie. They seem to rate O'Laughlin and Charnley but that's about it. Watching the match with a chooks fan as well

They didnt give us much hope last time if i remember correctly Spud..

Our pack doesn't look that big Alfie, mind you Bowen has enough weight for them all..

Its looking like a damage limitation game already spud,we are not at the races.

I agree with Fred, got draw written all over it this game, and I'd settle for that. Went to the away game and Forest were the best I've seen this season, played us off the park for a lot of the game.

I wouldn't be too disappointed with a draw, this will be a very tough game. Keep the unbeaten run going and take it from there.

Draw today, draw with Derby, beat the horse botherers and go from there

Nottingham Forest will be a hard nut to crack .But Burnley are determined to reach the winning post first . Forest is no match to high flying Burnley.

It'll be a minor miracle if we get anything today. Our injury list reads:

Cohen, Wilson, Hobbs, Lichaj, Vaughan, Lansbury, Reid, Majewski, Blackstock and apparently Cox too.

It's essentially our entire first choice defence and three of our best four midfielders. In short, you ought to hammer us. We've got one dangerous player in Paterson (and what a player) but aside from that we look incredibly toothless. What a shame that injuries have slightly derailed what could be a great game.

CLARETS: Heaton, Trippier, Mee, Shackell, Duff, Kightly, Marney, Arfield, Jones, Ings, Vokes.

Subs: Cisak, Long, Edgar, Stanislas, Wallace, Barnes, Treacy.

QPR now SEVEN points behind us, granted they've a game in hand. But who'd have thought that a couple of weeks ago.

They were second, we were third.

Now Derby are the ones we've got to watch, but they've to come here next week.

N yet they brought on Henderson, Cox and Greening who all have Prem experience I think. N still had lichaj,Derbyshire n de fries with Prem experience n a decent player in Harding too ont bench.

If we had lost 8 to injury then Bertie Bee would have bloody started!

When we played them in the cup earlier this season, they changed a full team from their previous league game. And they were still all known names. I bet they could still name two starting elevens that would both do ok in this division.

Sometimes you have to stop looking for excuses like little Billy Shithouse, and accept that you were beaten by a better side.

@#$%& them, massive squad, they've been beaten in cup, got a draw at home and got destroyed in the league at the turf. They got saved a massive defeat by the half time whistle. We took the foot off the gas, if first half had continued it would have been at least six or seven without doubt.

Are we a long ball team? Little Billy seems to say do yet I've not seen that at all. I'm not bothered if we are just seems an unfair label. We can go direct when needed of course but I've always felt we played a good balanced way.

In fairness I've only seen us half a dozen times live so what do the regulars think?

This weak team Forest put out today, 7 of them started in their 3-0 win at Huddersfield, 8 of them started in their draw against Leicester on Wednesday. Three of the 4 they've brought in from the Huddersfield team, Collins, Jara and Mackie have all played PL football, the other, Abdoun, has played for Nantes and Ajaccio in Ligue 1 in France, for Olympiakos in the Greek Superleague and has 11 caps for Algeria.

WTF are they whingeing about, weak team my backside.

I wouldn't say he's wrong CW, they were a lot better second half, they could hardly have been worse, and if they'd taken all their chances they might well have got a point. On the other hand, if Kightly had managed even the basics properly, like passing to a team-mate and putting the odd decent centre in, then they might have been five or six down by half-time. And if Ings and Duff had taken easy second-half chances and Abdoun hadn't got lucky with the penalty rebound, then we'd have won 5-0. He hasn't really got anything to moan about, at 3-1 they've got off lightly.

I see the Forest fans are moaning about Lascelles (sp?) being a rubbish replacement.
This is the same bloke who had Vokes in his pocket at the City Ground earlier this season.

Talking to Forest fans that day Fred and they were talking him up as the new Des Walker. Football fans eh.

It's not just little Billy either is it Longsiders, Ince was saying the same after the Blackpool game. They have a point, we do use the long ball to Vokes an awful lot, but that's just one aspect of our game, as you say and Dyche keeps saying, we mix it up, we play good football on the deck as well. If managers are going to set up their teams to defend against long ball merchants when they come to Turf Moor then that could be one of the reasons we're undefeated at home for nearly a year, they're making a rod for their own backs. Little Billy wants to take another look at our three goals yesterday, no sign of any long balls, just good football. Instead of blaming his own players for not listening to him, maybe he should be questioning his own analysis of the opposition.

One thing I noticed from the TV games is that the 'long-punts' we do make are by and large accurate rather than 'hit and hope'.

I'd say Jabber, they tend to aim them in the general direction of Vokes, not a bad tactic, he doesn't win them all but he gets his fair share.

I still can't believe what a great season Vokes is having. More goals than Jordan Rhodes, third behind McCormack and Ings.

What a team this is!

Richard Gibson in the Observer yesterday,

" Three goals to the good inside 35 minutes, there cannot have been a more purposeful period of attacking play witnessed outside the top flight this season".

Even the national press were impressed, not often you see statements like that.
