Burnley 1 Aston Villa 1
By Burnley FC
November 29 2014
Danny Ings scored a late equaliser as Burnley made it seven points from the last three games against Aston Villa. Ings made it six goals in his last six starts for club and country when he cooly converted a penalty with just three minutes to go.

And the Clarets could have gone on to complete a remarkable comeback with Ings and substitute Lukas Jutkiewicz both going agonisingly close right at the death. Earlier, Joe Cole had given the visitors a lead shortly before the break. Michael Keane made his first start for the Clarets as he replaced injured Michael Duff in the only change to the team that won away at Stoke City last weekend.

Ings is looking a class act, we might have a fight on our hands in Jan.
Villa fans @#$%& poor. 4k fans, 1-0 up and all they sing is the bizarre "na na na na villa" song.
... and unlucky not take all 3 points, we deserved them - though not according to the BBC female reporter who said: "it would have been hard on Villa to lose as they (Villa) dominated possession", that's not what i saw. True that we gave them too much space in the first half, and made it easy for villa pass their way upfield, but they only broke through on a 'few' occassions, one of which they made count. Yes we dawdled at times, but still, dominate they didn't. Second half, we filled the gaps...and Burnley had the majority of possession, we certainly gave villa more to worry about than they did us - and if a very near 3 other goals to Burnley ..to none of villa equals Villa deserved at least a draw... then I must be living in cloud cuckoo land.

There seemed to be less workrate in the Burnley team today as opposed to stoke last week.
Great that we managed a point but some of the passing and finishing from us was amateurish and proved costly.
Lacklustre best sums it up.
The cricket field end is a liability. We need to remove the roof to dissipate the noise and make the away fans miserable when it rains. The Villa fans were a twelth and thirteenth man for their team.
Didn't see Villa, for all their slick play, fashion any chances as good as those... scratching my head how we didn't win .

As so often poor finishing, despite looking a bit more lively of late Ings continues to miss easy chances, he got us the 3 points at Stoke, he lost us 2 points here. Until he finds a bit more consistency in front of goal we'll continue to struggle, because we've no one else to score them.
