    And as Rangers rallied in the second half, Leroy Fer and Charlie Austin - later red-carded - struck to end Burnley's four-game unbeaten run and seal victory for the Londoners.
Sean Dyche made one change, with Ben Mee stepping in to replace the injured Stephen Ward.
    And the visitors carved out the first chance with seven minutes gone, as Ashley Barnes latched onto Danny Ings diagonal ball, played a quick one-two with Scott Arfield, but skied his effort from 18 yards. And Rangers were soon grateful to Green for keeping the scores level.
    The former England keeper made a mistake by dropping Dean Marney's lofted ball towards Ings, but made amends with an instinctive save with his face as the ball broke to Arfield 12 yards from goal.
     Burnley were taking the game to Rangers, and just before the half hour, the hosts were again indebted to Green, who flung himself to his left to fingertip Boyd's piledriver onto the post.
    However, the dominant Clarets needed a magnificent clearance themselves to stop Rangers going ahead on 30 minutes.
    From their first real opening, Eduardo Vargas wriggled his way past Mee on the right side of the area and fired the ball past Tom Heaton, only for Michael Keane to hack the ball off the line.
