Man Utd 3 Burnley 1
By Burnley FC
February 11 2015
Burnley were on the undeserving end of ruthless finishing, despite an impressive away performance at Old Trafford.Danny Ings had offered hope of a result after his diving header brought the Clarets back on level terms, after substitute Chris Smalling had given Manchester United an early lead.
|
However, another header from Smalling in first-half stoppage time and a late penalty courtesy of Robin van Persie sealed the victory for the hosts.

What is the point of subs on 85 minutes there was no way a difference would be made. You could tell from 60 miniutes that we needed to do something different, Dyche should have shuffled the pack then but he didn't. But that said woeful defending again at corners was our downfall.
Even so - thoroughly enjoyed the game, Well done Burnley.

I saw the same - we dropped off not much longer after Ing's miss, somewhere between 60-70mins, United took control and we needed something more, , but where do we look, the bench ?

That, and our woeful inability to defend corners are the two niggles I have right now.

Every player played well and you can't ask much more than that.
Kightly was brilliant.
